Fundus Camera: We use this camera to take photos of the inside of the eye to monitor long term changes and check vascular health, the optic nerve, vitrious jelly, and macular within the eye. This allows us the ability to catch diabetes, hypertension, a stroke, tumor, and many other conditions very early.
Auto Refractor: This machine provides an initial measurement of the shape of the eye, plus the prescription for distance glasses.
Topographer: We use this machine to get a mapping of the surface of the eye and check the health of the cornea. This is very helpful especially before and after LASIK surgery and PRK.
Digital Projector/Refractor: This technology provides the most precise prescription for the patient.
Ocular Coherence Tomographer (OCT): This instrument uses no radiation, is painless, takes seconds to run, and provides instant data that allows us to diagnose Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, and Corneal Irregularities much earlier than we ever could before. We use the instrument’s ‘iWellness’ screening scan in our annual exams for patients over the age of 30, and use it’s more detailed and specific scans for monitoring and follow up visits once a diagnosis has been made.
